What to Expect

Ford Explorer sets a high standard for capability, power, and performance. It is also America’s all-time best-selling SUV. With the purchase of a qualifying Ford Explorer ST, you have the chance to put the vehicle through its paces in an exclusive, immersive experience from Ford Racing — the Explorer ST Experience.

This program is currently open to 2026 Model-Year Explorer ST Owners.

Eligibility

Original Explorer ST Owners who purchased and took delivery of a qualifying 2026 Model-Year or newer Ford Explorer ST are eligible to attend the Explorer ST Experience. You'll be required to enter your VIN to register, so please ensure you have it handy before registering.

Please note that if you are the owner of a pre-owned vehicle, you are welcome to attend as a Ford Enthusiast.

Guests

Each Explorer ST Owner Experience includes one (1) guest at no additional cost. Guests ages 13–17 may attend as passengers only. Guests 18 or older with a valid driver’s license may share drive time at the owner’s discretion.

Vehicles

You do not need to bring your own vehicle. Ford provides Explorer ST SUVs for use throughout your Experience.

Travel and Lodging

Travel and Lodging are not included with your experience.

Experience Details

Get ready for a full-day, hands-on driving experience behind the wheel of the Ford Explorer ST, guided by expert instructors.

  • Learn performance-driving techniques
  • Learn about available vehicle and security features
  • Enjoy a mix of on-road driving, high-speed hot laps, and interactive activities.

The day also includes meals, giveaways, and a chance to experience accessories — making it a complete, high-energy ST-brand experience.

Limited dates and locations are currently available for enthusiasts outside of the standard eligibility group.

Registration is now open for those interested in learning more about the Explorer ST and its performance capabilities.

Participants will enjoy a one-day Explorer ST Experience, where they’ll get behind the wheel of Ford-provided Explorer ST SUVs alongside expert instructors. The program includes performance-driving instruction (line control, braking, throttle steering, and skid control), an overview of available vehicle and safety features, and hands-on demonstrations of available Ford Co-Pilot360® technologies.

The day also features a scenic on-road drive, high-speed instructor-led hot laps, meals and refreshments, interactive experiences, exclusive giveaways, and a chance to discover available accessories and merchandise.

Cost to Attend: $200

  • Explorer ST owners who purchased a qualifying 2026 or newer Ford Explorer ST are eligible to attend the Explorer ST Experience.

    Eligible 2026 Model-Year Owners have one calendar year — beginning September 2026 — to attend and must complete their Experience by September 2027.

    Each eligible vehicle owner is entitled to one (1) Explorer ST Experience. A valid VIN is required at the time of registration. Attendees must be the certified owner or driver associated with the VIN. (Example: A partner of the certified owner may attend.)

    If you do not own a qualifying vehicle, you may submit your information to receive updates on future participation opportunities.

  • 2026 Explorer ST owners have one calendar year from September 2026 to attend. All Experiences must be completed by September 2027.

  • Enter your VIN during the first step of registration. If your information matches our records, your eligibility will be verified instantly.

    If additional information is needed or a discrepancy is identified, please contact Program Headquarters at explorerstexperience@fordeventreg.com.

  • Yes. Both you and your guest must register in advance to participate. Your guest's information will be submitted with your registration.

    Please note: For Ford Enthusiast attendees, guests are not included. Any individual attending who is not a 2026 Model-Year or newer Explorer ST owner will be required to register separately and pay the applicable fee to participate in the experience.

  • If you own a 2025 Explorer ST, please visit stsuvexperience.com to view your program details and register.

  • Limited opportunities may become available for Ford Enthusiasts (non-owners). Participation in these cases is $200 per person.

    If you’re interested in being notified as opportunities arise, please submit your information here.

  • Verified Explorer ST owners receive an owner credit that covers the full cost of the Experience.

    A credit card is required to hold your reservation. A $75 fee applies if you cancel within 14 days or do not attend your scheduled Experience.

    Participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging.

  • Limited opportunities may become available for Ford Enthusiasts (non-owners). Participation in these cases is $200 per person.

  • Of course! Each Explorer ST Owner Experience includes one (1) guest.

    Guests must:

    • Be registered in advance
    • Be at least 13 years of age

    Guests ages 13–17 may attend as passengers only; a parent or legal guardian must complete a waiver on their behalf. Guests 18 or older with a valid driver’s license may share drive time at the owner’s discretion.

    Please note: For Ford Enthusiast attendees, guests are not included. Any individual attending who is not a 2026 Model-Year or newer Explorer ST owner will be required to register separately and pay the applicable fee to participate in the experience.

  • Pets are not permitted, with the exception of service animals.

  • Travel and lodging are not included.

    However, promotional rates may be available through select travel partners, including airfare discounts with Delta Air Lines.

  • Nope! Ford provides Explorer ST SUVs for use throughout your Experience.

  • Most Experiences run from approximately 7:30a.m. (check-in) to 5:30p.m.

    Please refer to your confirmation email for exact timing.

  • Prepare for a full day of adrenaline, learning, and unforgettable moments behind the wheel!

    You’ll drive Ford-provided Explorer ST SUVs while working alongside expert instructors who will guide you through:

    • Performance driving techniques (line control, braking, throttle steering, skid control)
    • Vehicle features and security systems
    • Ford Co-Pilot360® technologies
    • BlueCruise*

    You’ll also:

    • Head out on a scenic on-road drive
    • Enjoy lunch and snacks throughout the day

  • Please bring:

    • A valid and current driver’s license
    • Comfortable, closed-toe shoes (required)
    • Comfortable clothing suitable for an active day

    We also recommend dressing in layers and bringing sunglasses and sunscreen, as weather conditions may vary.

  • If you need to cancel, you may click the link in your confirmation email to cancel or email explorerstexperience@fordeventreg.com.

    The following terms apply:

    • 15+ days prior to your Experience: No cancellation fee.
    • 14 days or less: A $75 cancellation fee will be charged to the credit card provided during registration. Eligible owners who cancel within this window will retain their complimentary attendance, provided they remain within their eligibility period.
    • No-show: If you do not cancel in advance and fail to attend your scheduled reservation, a $75 fee will be charged. You will forfeit your complimentary Explorer ST Experience for the vehicle associated with your reservation.
    • Option to Postpone: If you’re unable to attend but are not ready to reschedule, you may postpone your reservation, provided you remain eligible and your new date falls within your eligibility period. Postponing places your reservation on hold for up to 30 days to select a new date. If a new reservation is not made within 30 days, your reservation will be canceled and a $75 cancellation fee will apply.

  • Yes. You may postpone your reservation if you are still within your eligibility window.

    • Your reservation will be held for up to 30 days
    • You must select a new date within that period
    • If no new date is selected, your reservation will be canceled and a $75 fee will apply

  • The Explorer ST Experience runs rain or shine. We recommend monitoring the forecast and coming prepared with appropriate rain gear if inclement weather is expected on the day of your reservation.

    That said, the safety of our participants, guests, and staff is our top priority. In the event of severe or hazardous weather conditions, we reserve the sole right to determine whether an Experience will be canceled, delayed, or shortened.

    If conditions prevent us from safely operating, we will make every effort to reschedule your Experience. Please note that we are not responsible for travel or lodging expenses if an Experience is impacted or canceled due to weather.
